North Horizon Heli Adventures

Founded by Doug McBean, born and raised in Katherine, this Indigenous-owned outfit has flown Australia's Top End for more than three decades and is the only operator permitted to land inside Nitmiluk Gorge. Chief pilot Gerald Grogan and pilot Dan White fly scenic loops over the escarpment, drop into remote gorge landings, and run heli-fishing runs to isolated rivers. Cultural immersion flights with Traditional Owners and tailor-made 'heli swims' round out the roster, all working from a helipad set inside Nitmiluk National Park.
