Venture North Safaris

Founded in 1996 and run since 2010 by brothers Hugh and Aaron Gange, this is a boutique, micro-group 4WD safari operation with exclusive access to restricted country in Arnhem Land and the Cobourg Peninsula. Guests travel by luxury Landcruiser and stay at the operator's own Cobourg Coastal Camp, a safari-style retreat inside Garig Gunak Barlu National Park on the peninsula's northern coast. The emphasis is on cultural integrity and small numbers, backed by Advanced Ecotourism and Respecting Our Culture certification and a long shelf of NT Brolga and Australian Tourism Awards.
