Wooleen Station, Western Australia

The Story

A 380,000-acre nature-based station stay in the Murchison, some 680km north of Perth, run with ecology front of mind. Founded in 1886 and now stewarded by David and Frances Pollock, Wooleen pairs regenerative land management with National Trust–listed homestead accommodation — colonial verandahs, award-winning gardens and a pool amid the outback. Guests can bushwalk, mountain-bike, canoe the Murchison River and join guided tours between April and October, with home-style cooking and Western Australian wines to end the day.
